Dear Sudanese Community,

On behalf of my family, I would like to extend my heartily and sincere gratitude and appreciation to all of you for the support (moral, physical and financial) you have given my family and I during this very sad and hard time of our lives. The loss of my mother (may Allah forgive her sins and grants her Jannah) is very grave and hard to cope with, but the support we received and continue to receive from you is of great help and comfort and I take pride in being part of this big and caring family (that is you, the Sudanese community).

I would like to share a small incident that happened during the funeral in Livermore, one of my non-Sudanese friends upon seeing the number of people attending assumed that I have a very big direct siblings here in the US, but was very surprised and amazed when he was told that even though I don’t have direct siblings but all of those people are my family here.

That shows how good of a community we are. I do pray to Allah that we always stick together as one community during all times.

PS. for the lucky ones who have parents that are still alive, take good care of them and spend as much time trying to make them happy and don't wait for tomorrow..

~Siddig
